Remember that last time you tried to microwave a can of clam chowder and it started off fine?  Then, about 90 seconds into the cook time, it starts spitting like a mofo and tossing burnt pieces of potato all around the interior of your microwave oven.  Well there is a reason for it.

Every Microwave oven you have ever seen, and it does not matter what brand it is, was made by one company: Midea.

Midea Group is a Chinese electrical appliance manufacturer, headquartered in China. As of 2018, the firm employs approximately 135,000 people in China and overseas.

It is interesting to note that He Xiangjian, the company's founder started the business in 1968 and the company manufactured bottle lids. Forbes lists him as having 25.2 billion in real net worth.[1]

He also looks like a really nice guy.
