Jack Tatum is the main reason why a ton of stuff is illegal in pro football today. Tatum was first an Ohio State Buckeye, playing for Woody Hayes and winning a National Championship in 1968. He then entered the NFL and played 9 of his 10 pro seasons for the Oakland Raiders. He won a Superb Owl with the Raiders in 1977. His vicious style of play enhanced the Raider's mystique of being "unforgiving," "dirty," and "evil." Jack was such a badass, they called him The ASSASSIN.[2][3]
