June 15, 2022 is a day that shall live in infamy.[1] On this day, the official support for Internet Explorer has officially been ended by Microsoft.
After a steep decline, IE would go from a market share of 65% as recently as 2009 to less than 1% today. It became a punching bag for jokes as the best web browser for downloading Chrome. [2]

Internet Explorer (IE) 11 is the last major version of Internet Explorer. On June 15, 2022, the Internet Explorer 11 desktop application is no longer be supported on certain versions of Windows 10. [3]
