A list of discontinued cereals. In no particular order. I add them when I remember them.
Also, I won't be adding cereal brands like Urlelo-O's, C-3PO's, or Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves cereal because those cereals were promotional product tie-ins for movies or television shows. It is my wish to keep this list to actual brands that were created and were meant to a long lived, viable product.
The exception is the Pebbles brand of cereals that have been in existence since 1971.[1]
Cereals That Are Gone
- Cröonchy Stars
- Freakies
- Fruity Yummy Mummy came first in 1971.
- Fruit Brute followed up in 1975.
- Sugar Smacks became Honey Smacks. Dig'em.
- Super Sugar Crisp was the exact same cereal as Honey Smacks.
- Bigg Mixx
- Alpha-Bits. I bet you thought these were still around.
- Baron Von Redberry was probably replaced with FrankenBerry
- Benefit cereal. Got shut down by the F.D.A.
- Body Buddies
- Buc Wheats
- Waffelos were pretty damn good, but the blueberry version was incredilbe.
- Uncle Sam
- Sir Grapefellow was Barron Von Redberry's mortal enemy.
- Sprinkle Spangles
