I have become unhappy with how Mediawiki displays headings for sections on articles. I have now decided to change how they look. I will be using this page to test out various heading changes, font changes, color changes, and other css crap that I never really looked into when I built this wiki a few years ago.
Some code has been injected into the editing of this page and can be accessed here for use on other pages. Other code has been added to the MediaWiki:Common.css page. This is a link that is important.
Headings
A typical heading for a section looks like this:
Section 1 (also, I want to get rid of the edit link ➞)
I know that I can get rid of the edit link in my settings, but I want to be able to remove it on a case-by-case basis. Also, I would would be more happy with section headings that look like this:
Section 1
To do this, I have to use the <hr3> and </hr3> tag. Once that has the heading looking correct, I must also use the <br> tag.
I may even switch down to a smaller heading type, using the <h4> tag. It looks like this:
Section 1
example text.
In Use
I have put this in use on the Youtube page. I like it.
Page Headings
This will change how the actual article title is displayed:

You can use the normal Mediawiki bold and italic markers in there too.
