In 2023, Maui (an island in the State of Hawaii) experienced a series of wild fires that destroyed over 5 billion dollars worth of property and killed at least 100 people. Before you could blink, the "experts" were saying that the fires were caused by dry conditions and "gusty conditions created by a strong high-pressure area north of Hawaii and Hurricane Dora to the south."[1]

But most people with common sense realized that there was something more nefarious going on.
